Forest Heritage Centre

For those wishing to make a career in fine wood, the School of Wood at the Forest Heritage Centre (which is only one 90 minutes south-east of Perth) offer a two year, full time Diploma of Art (Furniture Design) course.   The course has a biannual intake of 12 students.

The School of Wood also presents many short courses for the hobbyist, semi-professional and professional.  The above link will take you to their current list of courses which provides all required information, eg. timing, duration and costs etc.

Department of Conservation and Land Management

CALM (Conservation and Land Management) is the WA government department responsible for conserving natural ecosystems and the diversity of plants and animals throughout WA.   This is a large and comprehensive site that will answer most queries you have.
