Welcome to the world of fine handcrafted writing instruments created here in Western Australia by Chris Busby.  These pens incorporate carefully selected timbers or brilliantly coloured resins, combined with smooth dependable mechanisms, and premium quality metal fittings that are plated in very high quality materials such as Rhodium, Platinum, Titanium, Sterling Silver, Chromium and Gold.  These are the same platings used by manufacturers of very expensive boutique pens.  Additionally, some of the resins are designed and cast by myself making them absolutely unique.

The Perfect Gift

All of these pens make exceptional corporate gifts.   As a gift, their size and weight will be appreciated by those travelling, whether the giver or recipient, and their quality and functionality will ensure that they remain highly valued and appreciated on a daily basis.

All pens other than our economy Jarrah and Slimline range are supplied in a presentation box.  All pens also come with 'story' cards identifying them as being handcrafted in Australia, as well as detailing all relevant information such as the refill type and materials used.

Custom Making

Please contact us if you would like to order any design of pen shown on our web-site in a different timber or resin to that shown.

Custom making is something I regularly undertake, and assuming that the necessary parts are on hand, a customised pen can usually be completed within a week.  Larger orders may take longer depending on stock levels.  Please bear in mind that these pens are all individually made and you must allow adequate construction time if wishing to place a large corporate order.

Refills

Ballpoint pens use readily available Parker® or Cross® refills.

Rollerball pens are fitted with high quality German made Schmidt® or Hauser® refills that are also readily available world wide.

Fountain pens are fitted with piston style converters for use with bottled ink, or can be used with disposable cartridges such as those produced by Private Reserve®, Noodlers®, Diamine®, Sailor® and Montblanc® among many others.

Fountain Pen Ink System and Nibs

All of the fountain pens offered will accept international standard size cartridges that are readily available from manufacturers such as Noodlers and Private Reserve etc.   All of our fountain pens, except for the Economy Jarrah Pens, are supplied with a converter for use with bottled ink.  The converter, of course, can be easily removed if you prefer to use disposable cartridges.  The economy Jarrah fountain pens, previously referred to, are supplied with a disposable cartridge.

Fountain Pens come standard with a good quality steel nib in a medium point.   Or, if preferred, I can change the standard nib for a semi-flex steel version in either fine or medium point for an extra charge of AU$9.50.

For an additional cost of between AU$110 and AU$130 (depending on the style) you can up-grade to a superb 18k solid gold nib in either a fine or medium point.

Nibs may be purchased separately in case of accidental damage.
