"Alternatives" Range of Polyester Resins
Our European supplier of these resins and acrylics has been trading for over 40 years providing polyester resins and other synthetic materials to many industries where natural products were once used, eg. Ivory, Tortoiseshell, Horn, Mother of Pearl, rare woods, and gem stones etc. These alternatives have a very impressive "natural" appearance.
These products are widely used in musical instruments, restoring antiques, woodturning, carving and scroll work, and by furniture and box makers as inlay.

These Acrylic resins are from various sources including the UK supplier of the Alternatives range as discussed above. Price is generally the best indicator of quality, and the higher priced ones will typically feature greater depth and clarity of colour and more clearly defined patterns. Pictured at left is a pen in one of the UK sourced resins.

Our Range of Timber Pen Blanks
These blanks are machined to dimensions commonly used by pen makers and come in a variety of species with a particular emphasis on those endemic to Western Australia. The pen pictured at left is in WA Sheoak.

Our Range of Timber Craft Blanks
These blanks are machined to dimensions commonly used by woodturners for smaller spindle work such as cutlery handles and bottlestoppers. They come in a variety of species with a particular emphasis on those endemic to Western Australia. The cake server pictured at left has a handle in WA Jarrah.
